Just woke up from a dream where my brother and I got into a back alley brawl with a phony undercover FBI agent and a guy dressed badly as Heath Ledger's Joker.

...I'm going back to sleep.

Halloween Ideas

This is gonna be a quick post, as I'm doing like 100 things at once.

As I said before, I love Halloween. I like to have a costume idea planned out months in advance. My Halloween costume last year was a mess and a half, in part due to poor planning (and flip flopping on the costume idea by my ex). This year, I have no such strictures (I love that phrase), so I think I'ma dress as this character:

(Yep, I'd have half a shaved head, and a plastic bag full of junk food.)

And, for next year, I really want to do a badass version of THIS character:

I've got a year to put together a good costume, and get in better shape for it. What costume ideas do you have?

Road Trip, Part One

I went on a bit of a road trip this weekend. I took my mom up to her best friend Lori's (and my unofficial dad) house up in New Port Richey, which is northwest (I think) of Tampa. But our first leg stopped in Orlando, at my uncle's house. I rather like this trip, as we've got the two dogs with us. They've been really good in the car the whole trip.

Anyway, here are some highlights:

-Saw an amazing sight in the sky while driving up on Saturday night: a piece of space debris that fell into the atmosphere, and burned up. It was like a giant bright, white firework.
-Got to hang out with my lil' cousins. I love the hell out of them.
-Met up with my old coworker Bri, her boyfriend Chris, and their other friend at Downtown Disney. I stopped by the Lego store, but couldn't find the Egyptian headdress I'm looking for.
-This morning, I discovered something extremely personal, that could very well be life-changing. For real, on an Empire Strikes Back scale. I'm not quite ready to share it yet, but, when I do, oof.
-Took my lil' cousin Bella (who doesn't like vampires, thank God) to the pet store. Her love if fish has me wanting, more than ever, to make a tank with Aquaman and Abe Sapian chillin' in it.
-Visited my brother with my mom. It's always good, because it puts things back in to perspective for me.
-Listened (and sang) some good classic rock with my momma on the ride out west.
-Had a drink with my mom and Lori, while tellin' stories about my growing up.

I'm up in New Port Richey now, and am driving back down tomorrow morning. I'ma come back next week to get my momma. In the meantime, I think I wanna cook. Whatcha want for dinner?

Here are some pictures from the trip. More to come soon.
